Elephants have always fascinated me. They are social, empathic, caring, ..., and despite their size they are very elegant. Did you know that elephants are actually ballerinas? They are ‘digitigrade’, what means that they actually walk on their tip-toes. This site contains besides the elephant news and the eleblog, also live webcams, several movies and photos, a section for scientific research, and the tracking reports by Save the Elephants. Welkom op Pachyderm, het eerste en enige online olifantenmagazine!!!
Olifanten hebben me altijd al gefascineerd. Ze zijn sociaal, empathisch, zorgzaam,…, en ondanks hun grootte ontzettend gracieus. Wist je trouwens dat olifanten eigenlijk ballerina’s zijn? Het zijn namelijk teengangers, zij lopen dus als het ware op de toppen van hun tenen. Op deze site vind je naast het olifantennieuws en de eleblog, ook nog live webcams, diverse filmpjes en foto's, een sectie gewijd aan wetenschappelijk onderzoek, en de trackingreports van Save the Elephants.
